Our PLC Trainer PTS F88 is designed to offer all what you really need to perform high level training on PLCs. It includes some many technical  features on the same low cost equipment that would be very expensive to try to do it with any other popular PLC brand.


The PTS F88 incorporates a built-in Ethernet port that supports the industry standard MODBUS/TCP protocol,  are capable of driving stepper motors DIRECTLY, have a built-in battery-backed Real Time Clock, and  support 3 serial ports and 3 HSCs.

This CPU run five times Faster, they have more program and data memory and plenty of other improvements over the PTS T100  More importantly, these plc workstation are still programmed by the industry-proven Ladder+BASIC, i-TRiLOGI

Technical features:


1) Ethernet Port
Have you ever asked for the price of a PLC or PLC trainer with Ethernet port? It’s almost the price our complete PLC trainer PTS F88. You can access your equipment from anywhere in the world!

2) Analog I/O
8 Analog input channels (0-5V) and 2 Analog output channels( 0-10V) with 12 bits of resolution.

3) Communication ports

Ethernet, RS 232, and two RS 485 ports.
Event-driven Emailing. Create and save data file on a networked PC's hard disk. TCP connection to any Server IP address:port number (e.g. to NIST Timer Server).Extremely easy Peer-to-peer (or machine-to-machine) PLC communication. Support both Modbus/TCP Server (5 simult. connections ) and Modbus/TCP Client.Direct connection to LAN or Internet for programming, monitoring and Remote Control
Serial port supported protocols: MODBUS RTU, MODBUS ASCII, OMRON C20H Host Link Commands
Default COM speed 38,400 bps, may be set from 1200 to 115.2K & 230.4K bps.

4)  Two lines x 16 characters LCD to easily display  application or control data.

6) Power Supply included. You only need to plug it to any AC outlet and start working.

7) Multi-function Digital Outputs.
The PLC trainer has 8 outputs available on side connectors. The outputs can also drive directly either one unipolar stepper motor (4 motor wires) or a two stepper motor drives( pulse and direction). Ideal for motion control.

9) Multi-Function Digital Inputs.
The PLC trainer has 8 inputs  (NPN or PNP) available on the bottom connector. The first two are assigned to two push buttons and 4 switches for you to perform digital inputs simulations. Inputs 1 -6 are High speed inputs  that you can use to connect quadrature encoders .

10) Battery Back Real Time Clock
Real Time Clock and Calendar (Year, Day, Month, Hours, Min, Sec, day-of-week)
- Lithium CR1632 battery-backed (runs up to 5 years without ext.l power or 10 years if powered off only 1/2 of the time)
- Real Time Clock can be updated with Atomic clock data from NIST time server if PLC is connected to the Internet

11) Infra Red Remote Sensor which works at 32KHz (Send and Receive commands)
12) XBEE socket solder pad to enable the PLC to connect to ZIGBEE wireless sensors and control modules.

13) LEDs for all 3 serial ports

14) Potentiometer with knob and precision power supply to be used to setup analog value or as a very easy tool to test control programs using analog variables.

Software Features:

    • 64 counters. Three of them can be HS counter for encoders (32bits).
    • 64 Timers that can be configured as high resolution timers
    • 512 Internal relays.
    • 8 Sequencers of 32 steps each.
    • 16K of memory program. 6K Words (16-bit) additional non-volatile 1FRAM memory for integer and string storage
    • Variables A to Z (32-bit Integer), A$ to Z$ (ASCII strings) 2DM[1] to DM[4000] (16-bit integer array)

1. Using F88 as Remote I/O host

Since all TRiLOGI PLC products feature built-in RS485 port, the F88 PLC can easily connect to a network of extremely low cost E10 or  FMD PLCs across a large facility. These remote PLCs can provide local control without supervision but can at the same time be controlled by the F100. Multiple MDS100-BW LCD displays can also be accessed individually by the Nano-10 to display real time messages.

With a simple <CONNECT> command the F88 can even connect to and communicate with all other Nano-10 or F-series PLCs via the Internet! 

  2. Providing User a Free HMI for your OEM Equipment

Since the F88 built-in web services employs the AJAX technology for equipment control, it allows you to create a custom web page to control your equipment in no time and your user can then use any PC or smart phone (e.g. IPhone) web browser to view the equipment with graphical illustration. In fact you can even create several web pages and present the same data in different format to different user type (e.g. end user vs service technician).

Best of all, your user does not need to install any application on their PC or Iphone in order to view the operation of your equipment. So what they gain is a no-hassle, free Graphical HMI to interact with your equipment via the Internet!

  3. Data logging and Control of MODBUS devices. Data can be logged to remote server via the Internet.

PTS F88 can issue Modbus-RTU or Modbus ASCII commands to access many industrial devices and sensors such as power meters connected to its RS485 port. This means it can readily acquire data from any instrument that understand Modbus protocol.  In addition, since F88 can open a client connection to a remote server, it can log the acquired data and store as data files in the remote PC.

4. Internet Accessible Home Control System

You can implement a small control system to directly control some equipment in your home and add an web page interface to it in no time.

By communicating to a Z-wave base device via RS485/RS232 port you can even perform whole house control via the Internet.
